As I mentioned in the previous post, a big inspiration for me is Ernst Haeckel. The forms he was discovering in biology and illustrating had a direct effect on the designs of the day. The below images of interiors and exteriors were inspired by Haeckel.

This building was designed by Rene Binet as the entrance for the 1900 World’s Fair in Paris (Eiffel Tower on the left). The design was based on one of Haeckel’s Radiolarians. Just in case you haven’t read all of my blogs, radiolarians are single-cell plankton or protists.
